What are the lifecycle stages of a Candidate in Kinatico Compliance?
Candidates in Kinatico Compliance move through three lifecycle stages from the moment their record is created. Once a candidate is Active and has met your organisation's required compliance requirements, an administrator makes a hiring decision that determines the final outcome. Understanding these stages helps you track where each candidate is in your pre-employment process.
What You'll Need:
- System Admin, System Owner, or Hiring Manager access to the Kinatico Compliance Admin Portal
Lifecycle Stages

Inactive
The candidate record has been created in the system, but no compliance activities have been assigned yet.
Pending
One or more compliance activities have been assigned to the candidate. At this point, they receive their first email from Kinatico Compliance, which:
- Prompts them to download the Kinatico Compliance mobile app
-
Invites them to create their account
Active
The candidate has successfully logged into the platform and accepted the Kinatico Compliance Terms and Conditions. They are now able to view and complete their assigned compliance activities.
Hiring Decisions
Once a candidate is Active and has met your organisation's required compliance requirements, an administrator makes a hiring decision. Hire and Reject are not system statuses, however, they are decisions that determine what happens to the candidate record.
Hire The candidate is promoted to employee status, signifying a successful onboarding outcome. They are transitioned to the User Directory and removed from the Candidate Directory.
💡 Note: Once hired, the user's compliance status will start contributing to your organisation's overall compliance status.
Reject The candidate is not progressed. Their record is automatically archived and removed from the active Candidate Directory.
💡 Note: The hiring decision always belongs to your organisation. Kinatico Compliance will surface information if screening is incomplete when you attempt to hire, but it will never block you from proceeding.
