Who are Candidates on Kinatico Compliance?

In Kinatico Compliance, a Candidate is a person in the pre-employment stage — someone your organisation is considering hiring but who has not yet been formally onboarded as an employee or worker. This article explains how Candidates work and what to expect when managing them.

Who is a Candidate?

Candidates are managed separately from your organisation's active workforce. Their compliance activities and results do not affect your organisation's overall compliance status.

The underlying principle: pre-employment screening is a compliance requirement, but the screening results are not compliance outcomes. Performing the screening meets the obligation. The decision to hire based on those results belongs entirely to your organisation.

Key Things to Know

Candidates are isolated from your compliance metrics. They don't appear on your Overview Dashboard, Activity Dashboard, Monitoring Dashboard, or any compliance reports. This keeps your organisational compliance data accurate and reflective of your actual workforce only.

Screening data carries over on hire. When a Candidate is promoted to an employee, all their completed activity results transfer to their employee record.

The hire decision is always yours. Kinatico Compliance will surface information if screening is incomplete when you attempt to hire, but it will never block you from proceeding.
